More than one buyer seeking Mt Pisa station

Mt Pisa station, one of Central Otago's most prominent high country stations, is under offer from a potential buyer.

PGG Wrightson said in a statement that the 4472ha high country station between Cromwell and Luggate was under offer, but that there was also interest from other parties.

In response to questions about progress on selling three prominent southern properties, PGG Wrightson said Patearoa Station in the Maniototo failed to sell at auction before Christmas and the sale of the 4300ha property was under negotiation for some time before being withdrawn for sale due to market reasons and seasonal work patterns.

Foveran Deer Park in the Hakataramea Valley had attracted "considerable" interest from both local and overseas buyers, but all were dependent on selling other properties or Overseas Investment Office approval, which was slowing down the process.

Foveran operates a deer stud and trophy-hunting business, fine wool merino and beef cattle operations over three properties with a combined area of 2900ha.

Hunter Valley Station on the shores of Lake Hawea, is still on the market, a spokesman for the owners said.
