Following changes to the Community Connect concessions scheme, Canterbury Regional Council (Environment Canterbury) have alerted both Metro and MyWay customers that some transport fares are set to change.
The new changes are set to come into effect on May 1.
In Timaru the expected changes will see MyWay’s $1.50 child fare remain the same, however, the under-13 Metro school, the Metro Temuka-Timaru concession, and under 25 MyWay concession will cease on April 30.
This means children travelling on Metro school services will need to start paying the 95cents per ride fare once again.
