Rugby: Surgery rules Muliaina out for season

Former All Blacks fullback Mils Muliaina will miss the rest of the Super Rugby season for the Chiefs to undergo surgery on a troublesome elbow injury.

The 33-year-old, capped 100 times by New Zealand, will be operated on next week.

He has been restricted to five starts for the defending champions since his return from two years in Japan to link up with his former franchise.
