A person was trapped after a serious crash between a truck and a car in Hornby.
The crash happened on Halswell Junction Rd and police say a person has been injured.
Fire and Emergency NZ spokeswoman Lynn Crosson said firefighters freed a person from a vehicle.
Police were called to the scene at 11.10am on Thursday
The road was closed with diversions in place. It reopened later in the afternoon.
