Two hurt and a dog killed in crash

Two people were injured and a dog was killed after a vehicle crashed and ended up on its roof in Christchurch on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened on Travis Rd, just west of the Anzac Dr roundabout, about 9.11am.

One person was moderately injured and another sustained minor injuries, a St John spokesman said. 

Police were at scene and a lane drop was in place.

Said a police spokesperson: "Police and emergency services were notified of a single car collision on the intersection of Travis Road and Anzac Road at 9.11 am, the occupant is out of the vehicle.

"It appears a dog died in the incident."
