House fire near Amberley

    Damage from a house fire, which happened just outside Amberley, has been contained to the roof.

    Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Lyn Crosson said the house in Glasnevin was "well ablaze" on arrival at 8am on Monday.

    Three fire crews were at the scene and managed to contain the damage to the roof.
