A house in Bluff has been gutted by fire this morning.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said two crews from Bluff were initially called to a house in Burrow St at 7.54am.

They called in a further two crews from Invercargill to help after seeing how much smoke there was, he said.

The house was fully involved, he said.

One person had received minor burns and an ambulance was in attendance.
