One dead after early morning crash in Christchurch

    A motorist was killed in a crash on the QE II Drive off-ramp in the early hours of this morning.

    A police spokesperson said the single vehicle crash happened about 1.10am on Thursday.

    It is understood the person was the sole occupant in a vehicle, which was travelling on SH74 prior to the crash.

    The spokesperson said the person died at the scene.
