One dead after West Coast crash

    One person has died after a serious crash on the South Island’s West Coast.

    A police spokesperson said the single-vehicle crash on the Karamea Highway in Little Wanganui was reported about 1.20pm on Monday.

    The road was closed while the serious crash unit examined the scene.

    Hato Hone St John sent a first response unit and prime responder to the crash scene.
