They were all nominated for the Altrusa Ashburton’s Magic Mums programme.
The women were treated to a special day, which included scenic flights from Ashburton Airport.
"The ladies really enjoyed their flights and were very excited about what they had seen from the air, their houses, many burn-off fires which were quite spectacular," said Kathleen Bowman of Altrusa.
The mums were also treated to hair styling, facials and dinner at Lake Hood with a guest speaker.
The organisation Altrusa is a women’s service group with a membership of 44. It will celebrate its 50th anniversary this month.
