Covid-19: Vaccine expert headed to Chatham Islands

Preparation for the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine on the Chatham Islands is under way.

The remote archipelago lies about 800km east of Christchurch and is home to almost 700 people - 560 of whom are eligible for the jab.

A Canterbury DHB health official is due to board a plane to the territory today, loaded with pamphlets and information about the vaccine for residents ahead of the planned rollout at the end of June.
