Emergency services are attending a serious crash involving two vehicles in Canterbury.
Police said they were called to the incident on Hinds Highway (State Highway 1) near Winslow in Ashburton about 10.35am today.
"Initial indications are there have been injuries."
The road is closed, with diversions in place and motorists should avoid the area, if possible.
