The lights have officially been turned on at a Christmas-crazy Christchurch house.

On Saturday, the property at 8 Dunluce Place was opened to the public according to a post on the Greater Hornby Residents Association Facebook page.

It is the work of Hornby residents Luke Murphy and Leia Austin.

The display received a Halswell, Hornby, Riccarton Community Board community service award recently.

It is free for the public although any donations are welcome.
