Police have launched a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead in Christchurch.
The woman, aged 37, was found deceased at her home in Addington on Saturday night, police said.
A scene examination is taking place at the property on Grove Rd, and part of the road has been cordoned off.
Grove Rd was still partly closed on Monday morning, and police remained at the scene.
Officers have been asking residents if they noticed anything suspicious between 6pm Friday and 8pm Saturday, or if they have any CCTV footage.
Police have also asked nearby businesses for CCTV footage.
