Vehicle crashes into Bunnings Warehouse

A Christchurch Bunnings Warehouse was temporarily closed after a vehicle crashed into it on Thursday afternoon.

The vehicle crashed into a stand of gas bottles outside Bunnings Warehouse Riccarton in Tower Junction off Blenheim Rd about 1pm.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said firefighters had a hose on standby.

Fire crews had to check the gas bottles to ensure they were not leaking or posed a risk to the public.

Two crews from the Spreydon and central city fire stations attended.

One person has been taken to Christchurch Hospital in a moderate condition, a  St John ambulance spokesman said.
