Big prizes up for grabs in short video competition

Organisers of the My China Story International Short Video Competition are seeking entries from Christchurch.

It aims to build an influential competition for foreigners to produce short videos about China, offer an inclusive exchange platform for international content creators and promote wide collaborative partnership network.

Over the past seven years, the competition has developed into a comprehensive international communication platform for new media that integrates foreign-language short video creation, annual competitions, themed competitions, screening events, and seminars.

Said a competition spokesperson: "Although China and New Zealand are separated by great distance, the friendship between our two countries is built and strengthened by countless individuals.

"Some of them are well-known figures in history, such as Rewi Alley. Others may be your teachers, classmates, or friends, or simply ordinary people who quietly contribute to exchanges in culture, education, and beyond.

"This year, the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Christchurch, once again in collaboration with China Southern Airlines and China Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand, invites you to turn your camera toward those who bring China and NZ closer - and tell their stories."

Share your 1-3min short video and be in to win some amazing prizes, including return flight tickets between China and NZ, tablets, DJI Osmo Pocket 3, smart watches and more.
