Nominations are open to become a member of the High Country Advisory Group next term.
The group was established in 2018 and provides Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) feedback and advice on the management of 1.2 million hectares of Crown pastoral land in the South Island high country.
The terms of all members come to an end this month and current members can apply for reappointment.
The next term begins in late May.
Nominations are being sought for representatives with knowledge and skills across the Crown pastoral lease management, Land Act and Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998, high country farming, tikanga Māori, biosecurity, biodiversity or environmental sustainability, other industry in the high country, local government, public use of Crown land and carbon sequestration and climate change.
Nominations close on April 22.
