Place a death notice

Death notices are published in the classifieds section of the Otago Daily Times print and e-editions every day.

To place a death notice

If you wish to place a death notice in the Otago Daily Times, then you can do so by:

Email: classified@alliedmedia.co.nz
In person: 52 Lower Stuart Street Dunedin or your local Allied Media office.

You will need to get your death notice authorised by a funeral director before it goes to print. Please note: Death notices cannot be placed over the phone

To view a death notice

You can view death notices which have been placed in the Otago Daily Times by purchasing a print copy of the Otago Daily Times or by purchasing digital copies of the paper.

Death notices are not available to view on odt.co.nz.
