ODT.co.nz is the online home of the Otago Daily Times and the wider Allied Media newspaper stable, bringing together news from across the South Island in one place.

The Otago Daily Times is New Zealand's oldest daily newspaper, published in Dunedin since 1861 and still proudly independent. Allied Media also publishes more than 20 community newspapers and a range of magazines, with journalists based in towns and cities across the South Island. That local reporting, alongside national and international coverage, is what you'll find here.

Allied Media is locally owned and employs more than 300 staff. Most are based at our head office in Dunedin, with teams working from offices throughout the South Island.
