Dairy workers Krishan Dick-Karetai, (21) of Mokotua, Detroit Ririnui, (20) of Dacre, and Hoani Dick (23), of Kapuka, are all in their first couple of seasons in the dairy industry, and all want to progress further.

All three men attended the BrightSide session at the South Island Dairy Event held in Invercargill last week.

Mr Dick-Karetai said he thought the event was beneficial.

''We got to know people, and it was good networking,'' Mr Dick-Karetai said.

''I think the personal money side of things was very helpful.''

He was interested in looking at other styles of farming and how other people operated.

Mr Dick said he got a better understanding of the financial information.

Mr Ririnui said he also found it useful and enjoyed the session.
