Sheep, beef and dairy support farmer Matt McRae, of Mokoreta in Eastern Southland, has been elected to the Beef+Lamb New Zealand board, as Southern South Island farmer director.
Mr McRae received 5104 votes, Glen McDonald received 1552 votes and Simon Davies received 811 votes.
Current Southern South Island farmer director Geoffrey Young retires at the annual meeting today.
