Valley lives up to its name

The series "Outstanding Outhouses" features images of striking structures in the rural South including this shearing shed on a farm in Green Valley.

Green Valley lies in the western foothills of the Horse Range on State Highway 85, known as the Pigroot, northwest of Palmerston.

Early settlers named the area as a nod to the rich fertile soil in the valley.
