About 350 horses and their riders trotted through the centre of the Lake Hawea township this morning at the end of this year's cavalcade.
The cavalcaders - including some on mountain bikes and some on foot - struck some rough weather on the way, but the parade took place in warm, calm conditions before several hundred onlookers who lined the streets of the town.
Tonight's activities include a hoedown, of course, at the Hawea Domain, with a crowd of up to 4000 expected.
