Farmlands has been awarded KPMG's global customer experience excellence award.
The co-operative was presented with the award at a function in Auckland on Friday.
Following Farmlands in the top five were: Air New Zealand, Kiwibank, New World and ASB Bank.
Receiving the accolade was a "vote of confidence in the power of the co-operative business model", Farmlands chief executive Peter Reidie said.
The survey measured the "six pillars of customer experience excellence" - personalisation, resolution, integrity, time and effort, expectations and empathy.
The KPMG report said Farmlands' success in customer experience could be attributed to its focus on its number one customer - Farmlands' shareholders.
