Want to find out more about getting a consent for activities on your land?

Then the door is open for a free 30-minute chat with Environment Southland staff.

'Starter For 30’ sessions are an opportunity for new or returning consent applicants, farmers or consultants to talk over consent concerns or queries with Environment Southland consents staff.

The free 30-minute slots are ideal for people who want to find out more about how rules apply to their own farming activities or to clarify what’s involved in applying for a consent.

The sessions could be particularly useful if you are not sure how possible rule changes stemming from the proposed Southland Water and Land Plan could affect what you do on the land.
Equally you could be thinking of making changes or starting something new.
“These sessions are free and designed to ensure that you put your best foot forward when it comes to making a consent application,” says consents manager, Michael Durand.

“Take us up on the offer of a free 30-minute session with one of our friendly, knowledgeable consents staff. We’ll be able to give you specific information and advice that relates to your individual situation.”

The next sessions are scheduled for Gore on 6 November and Lumsden on 8 November.

Book a session directly by emailing kirsten.harper@es.govt.nz with your preferred location and time or give us a call on 0800 76 88 45.
