Club’s Easter events ‘fun and social’

Strath Taieri Pony Club president Lynnore Templeton, of Middlemarch, said high point rugs were awarded to Sarah Hay in the senior section and Neave O’Connell in the junior section at the club’s Good Friday gymkhana in Middlemarch for winning the most points across the classing and games.

The club hosted the gymkhana on Good Friday and a jumping day on Easter Saturday.

Nearly 70 riders competed on Friday and had a "fun day of classing, games and jumping", she said.

"Riders were able to compete from 40cm to 1.10m with some exciting novelty jumping events and the spectator favourite — round the ring.

"The Easter events in the Strath are always a relaxed, fun and social way to end the season."
