People young and old, from Mid Canterbury and beyond, came together to enjoy a sun-filled, action-packed day out at the Mayfield A&P Show on Saturday.

The 96th edition of the show even drew in many South Canterbury first timers due to the cancellation of the Winchester A&P Show earlier in the month due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Entertainment included pig racing, guest commentator "Ken" aka Dame Lynda Topp, tractor-pull competitions, novelty rides, shearing and equestrian events.

There was also nitrate water testing by MHV Water, a Rangitata Diversion Race fish screen display, musical entertainment, inflatable fun, food and trade stalls.
