Hansen to take the reins at Crusaders

Former All Blacks assistant coach Scott Hansen has been reportedly appointed to lead the Crusaders next season.

The NZ Herald has reported it understands Hansen will take over as Crusaders coach after current head coach Rob Penney concludes his three-year tenure.

The Crusaders won four of 14 games in Penney's first season at the helm but he then guided them to their 15^th Super Rugby championship last year.

Penney signed a one-year extension following that success but will step aside at the end of the season, the Herald reported.

Hansen left the All Blacks earlier this year after Scott Robertson was ousted.
