Terms & conditions

• The Game Day Quiz campaign runs from February 14, 2025, to May 30, 2025. 
• A new question will be posted a few days before each Highlanders home or away Super Rugby Pacific game and will close at the end of game day (New Zealand time). The game days are: February 14, February 22, February 28, March 14, March 22, March 28, April 5, April 12, April 19, April 26, May 4, May 16, May 23, May 30. 

Spot Prizes 

• Several spot prizes are up for grabs, including: 
  
  • Highlanders home game passes 
  • Rugby News subscriptions 
  • Rugby books 
  • ODT Monopoly board games 
• Prizes are randomly allocated to entries that answered the quiz question correctly. 
• Winners of spot prizes will be notified via email and will have up to 48 hours to accept the prize, provide a delivery address and/or any other required details. 
• The winner’s nickname or name will be published on the campaign website (odt.co.nz/quiz). 
• Physical prizes can be collected from the ODT Dunedin office or shipped for free to a New Zealand address. 

Leaderboard 

• Quiz participants will earn points for both participation and correct answers. For the most accurate tracking of your points, it is recommended to use the same nickname or name and email address each time you participate. 
• The promoter will manage the leaderboard of quiz participants. 
• The top participants’ nickname or name may be published on the campaign website (odt.co.nz/quiz). 

Main Prize: Trip for 4 to Christchurch 

• The main prize includes: 
  • 4 x VIP passes to the Highlanders vs. Crusaders game on May 23, 2025, in Christchurch 
  • 4 x return flights from Dunedin, Queenstown, or Invercargill to Christchurch (depending on winner’s location) on May 23, 2025, returning on May 24, 2025 
  • Accommodation at Fable Christchurch (2 x double rooms) 
  • Evening meal on May 23, 2025, and breakfast at the hotel on May 24, 2025 
  • Transfers between the airport, hotel, and stadium 
• The main prize winner must be an adult residing in Otago or Southland. 
• The winner will be drawn after the May 4 Game Day Quiz from the top quiz participants according to the leaderboard. 
• The winner will be notified by email on May 5, 2025, and must accept the prize and provide verification details within 48 hours. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize, and a new winner will be selected. 
• The winner must agree to have their name and image used for publicity and future marketing purposes, without compensation, and grant the promoter ownership of all related copyright. 
• The winner’s nickname and name will be published on the campaign website (odt.co.nz/quiz). 

Other Rules 

• Employees of Allied Press Ltd and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. 
• Prize winners will be contacted using the details provided in the quiz forms. The promoter is not responsible for incorrect or incomplete contact information. 
• Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. 
• The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 
• By entering, you agree to be contacted by Allied Press for offers and promotions using the contact information provided in the form.

• The promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the competition and these terms and conditions at any time. 
• The promoter reserves the right to verify the identity of any winner (including verifying their age, city/town of residence) and to verify the validity of entries. Any participant providing false or misleading information, or behaving fraudulently or dishonestly, may be disqualified from the competition. 
• If the Super Rugby Pacific game cannot proceed for any reason, alternative plans may be made, including the cancellation of the main prize. 
• Subject to applicable laws, Allied Press and Highlanders, along with their employees and agents, are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising directly or indirectly from the competition, or from winning, redeeming, or benefiting from the prize.
