Nuggets forward fined

Basketball Otago Nuggets small forward Jose Perez has been fined $500 by the National Basketball League for several incidents during their game against the Auckland Tuatara on April 30.

He was cited for excessive disputing of calls by the officials and for approaching a referee after a game in an aggressive manner.

The games review commissioner issued a $1000 fine, which was reduced to $500 for an early plea.

Perez also a copped a one-match ban which has been suspended pending no further complaints of unsatisfactory conduct towards referees this season.
