With stunning ceremony sites inside or outside, set amongst beautiful native bush, filled with the sound of birdsong, it’s an excellent choice for your wedding venue.
Our friendly team are dedicated to help make your wedding day something special and unique to you. We have the capacity to host small intimate ceremonies, sit down dining for up to 100 guests, or cocktail-style weddings for up to 150.
We offer a full wedding planning service to help coordinate all aspects of your wedding, from celebrant to photographer, catering, transport and music – whatever you need we can help! Orokonui Ecosanctuary was the perfect location for our wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful, both indoors and out. It was so special to be able to have our ceremony and reception surrounded by nature and stunning panoramic views. The team at Orokonui were dedicated and enthusiastic in working alongside us to ensure that our wedding was everything we hoped for. They were always ready to provide advice, or any other help needed, and the entire process was stress free.

We had an absolutely magical wedding at Orokonui! It was so lovely to be able to wander outside, mingle inside, and the set up in the atrium was just spot on - especially with that magnificent view! We are so grateful to you guys for your help and enthusiasm; staff were lovely and really went the extra mile to help out. It was so special to see the kids so excited about the playground, seeing takahē and skinks. Seeing the kids have so much fun really made our night.
