Six well-known Otago business and academic leaders and a former cabinet minister are getting a top accounting honour recognising their outstanding service to accounting and their communities.
The six are among 212 Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) members from 10 countries who will in March receive a Chartered Accountants ANZ Fellowship.
CAANZ New Zealand country head Peter Vial said the range of the fellows’ activities and achievements mirrored the diversity of roles chartered accountants played in business and communities.
"Our latest fellows have made important contributions to the profession through their work in businesses, the public sector, academia and the not-for-profit sector," Mr Vial said.
