Tony and Jillian Jopp, of Moutere Station, won the Clip of the Year title, which was presented at the Otago Merino Association's merino excellence awards in Queenstown on Friday.
Moutere Station, near Alexandra, celebrated a century of merino breeding in 2004.
A fine-combing merino stud was founded on Tasmanian bloodlines in 1904, and a separate medium-combing stud was established in 1924.
Armidale (Allan and Eris Paterson), at Ranfurly, was second, while Matarae Station (Ron and Juliet Jones), at Middlemarch, was third.
Tara Hills, managed by Greg Stuart at Omarama, won the Ravensdown merino production competition, and Buscot Station, near Omarama, was runner-up.
The Child Cancer fleece competition was won by John and Mary-Liz Sanders, of Matangi Station, near Alexandra.
