The Guide: What's on this week

Highlight this week: An interactive Australian production of The Wizard of Oz will be performed in Gore and Dunedin on Saturday.

The Wizard of Oz Show is on at 10am on Saturday in the St James Theatre, Gore, and at 4pm in the Glenroy Auditorium, Dunedin.

Kids are encouraged to dress as their favourite Oz characters and take along a toy or book for the Children's Hospital Toy Appeal.

Words and music
Circadian Rhythm in St Andrew St, Dunedin hosts an evening poetry and music from 8pm on Saturday.

Poets on the menu include Rhian Gallagher, David Karena-Holmes, Sally Ann McIntyre and James Saville, while AJ Sharma, The New Self and Emmanuelle Gomez will provide the musical entertainment.
