Dunedin artist Filipa Fairy Crofskey adds the finishing touches to her mural on the wall of the Playhouse Theatre in Albany St yesterday.
Mrs Crofskey began painting the mural in August but because of weather and sickness it was only completed last week. She said she was pleased with the finished result.
‘‘The whole thing was super fun and it's something I really wanted to paint.''
The mural, which was fairytale› themed, helped illustrate the theatre's use and made it more readily identifiable, Mrs Crofskey said.
The mural features an ensemble cast of characters from children's favourites such as The Wizard of Oz, Hansel and Gretel and Jack and the Beanstalk.
