Firefighters used an aerial appliance to remove a loose cowling flapping in high winds at a rest home in Dunedin today.
They were called to the Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart rest home in Brockville at 12.12pm.
Fire crews from Roslyn and Dunedin stations attended.
MetService says north-easterly winds were forecast to become strong in the city from the morning into the afternoon.
