Competitor Richard Hore, of Beaumont Station, Millers Flat, tries to keep the sheep in a tight group with the help of Ace during the South Island Sheep Dog Trial Association trials, being held at Greenvale, West Otago, this week.
More than 400 dogs from throughout New Zealand are competing in the trials, which comprise long head, short head and yard, zig zag hunt and straight hunt events.
The trials are being hosted by the Greenvale Dog Trial Club at Leithen Valley Farm, Switzers Rd, Greenvale.
