In focus: 24 hours of life in Otago

We are planning a special photographic project to coincide with Otago Anniversary Day next month - and we want your help.

The Otago Daily Times will publish on Monday, March 23, a 48-page tabloid souvenir liftout titled "24 hours in Otago".

All photographs in the tabloid will be taken from noon March 13 until noon March 14.

Our award-winning team of photographers and other staff will be in action throughout the province, capturing snapshots of everyday life.

And we'd like you to have some input.

Almost 200,000 people live in the province, and all are possible photo subjects.

And then there's the visitors! To help us choose our shoots, we'd like you to email us at 24hours@odt.co.nz with a compelling reason to send a photographer to your house, your club, or your business - or otherwise into your life - during those 24 hours.

We would also welcome your own photographs, taken during the same time period, for consideration for publication.

To do so, email images in jpg format to the same address.

Further details on the project will be published in the ODT during the next few weeks.

The best photographs will be exhibited in the 1877 Gallery at the Otago Museum from March 25 until April 15, and photo galleries and audio slideshows will be published on www.odt.co.nz in the weeks following the newspaper publication.

The tabloid "24 hours in Otago" will not only be a wonderful keepsake, but readers will also get the opportunity to win great prizes - including cameras and photographic equipment courtesy of Jonathan's Photo Warehouse.

"24 hours in Otago" will come free with your purchase of the Otago Daily Times on Otago Anniversary Day, Monday March 23. Don't miss it.
