Harbour St in Oamaru was closed to traffic yesterday for a filming project by Auckland company Perceptual Engineering.
The project, a ''museum piece'', is understood to have links to Oamaru, and the scene to be set in 1860.
About 20 extras were required for filming.
No more details on the project were available yesterday but more are expected to be released in the next six months.
