Green Island recorded back-to-back wins in the twenty20 competition to remain unbeaten after four rounds.

It restricted Kaikorai to 129 for nine in the early game. The wickets were shared around with Dion Lobb, Mark Joyce and Gregor Croudis picking up two wickets apiece.

Jack Pryde top-scored in the chase with 37 to help his side record a four-wicket win.

Green Island then beat Albion by eight wickets. Lobb took three for 25 and Joyce three for 19 to hold Albion to 131 for nine. Croudis (41 not out) and Nathan Watt (64 from 46) put on 103 for the opening wicket to set up the comfortable win.

Green Island is at the top of the standings with 34 points. North East Valley is in second place with 32 points.

Will Kindley scored 102 from 67 balls to help Valley overhaul Carisbrook-Dunedin’s total of 188 for two and win by seven wickets in a last-over thriller.

Richard Sillars had posted an undefeated 102 for Carisbrook-Dunedin to set up the big chase.

Valley was upset by Taieri in the early game despite posting a formidable total of 182 for three.

Kindley scored 95 from 62 deliveries and got some good support from Ruan Markram with 44.

Quentin Gare got through a tidy four-over spell for Taieri with none for 21. It was a big contribution in the context of the game. But Sam Butler was the star with 81 from 47 deliveries.

His knock secured a five-wicket win and Taieri also beat Kaikorai.

Jarrod Casey, Marcus Frost and Regan Flaws took two wickets each to restrict Kaikorai to 87 for nine. Jarryd Taig (46) and Sam Butler (37) put on an unbroken stand of 88 to seal a 10-wicket win and kept Taieri’s final prospects alive.

In the other game, Albion beat Carisbrook-Dunedin by 21 runs.

Jamie Glenn top scored with 71 not out. He hit seven sixes and three fours to help his side reach 174 for four.

Opener Camden Hawkins did his best to get his side the win with 98 not out from 69 deliveries. But Carisbrook-Dunedin struggled to build partnerships and was  restricted to 153 for seven.Glenn was the pick of the Albion bowlers with three for 22.
