Matthew Glassford (Neptune) is the only Otago swimmer to reach the podium in individual events after three days of the New Zealand open swimming championships in Auckland.
He won a silver medal in the men's 200m breaststroke in 2min 20.15sec.

He was ranked second before the championships and proved he has the temperament for big-time swimming by holding his ranking in the final.
Glassford also gained a medal in the 400m individual medley when he finished third in 4min 32.97sec.
It was worth 762 Fina points and was marginally slower than his personal best time.
The Otago men's 400m freestyle relay won the silver medal when it finished third behind Canterbury-Westland and New Caledonia in 3min 36.03sec.
The early pace was too fast for Phoebe Williams (Waves) when she finished fourth in the prestige women's 800m in a personal best time of 8min 55.23sec.
It was worth 809 Fina points.
Williams (17), one of the youngest swimmers in the A final, went through the first 400m in a personal best 4min 25.23sec, but was not able to sustain this effort and slowed to 4min 30sec for the final half of the race.
The race was won by Lauren Boyle (22), who is based at a United States university, in 8min 41.83sec from 19-year-old Cara Baker (Auckland) 8min 42.61sec.
Waves Stef Gillespie (15) won the B final in 9min 07.23sec, a time that would have placed her seventh in the A final.
The Waves club team of Clive Cox, Troy Balvert, Braden Doyle and Rhys Applegarth won a silver medal in the men's 800m freestyle relay in 7min 50.78sec.
The Otago women's 800m freestyle relay of Stef Gillespie, Katie Kenneally, Kate Godfrey, and Emily Poon won a silver medal in 8min 47.07sec.
