The annual Sassenachs tournament, involving intermediate school sides from around Dunedin, took place yesterday. 

The year 7 boys grade was won by Tahuna which beat Kavanagh in the final.

In the year 8 boys grade, Balmacewen went through undefeated to claim the title with Tahuna and Taieri College in second. In the year 7 and 8 girls, Taieri College defeated Balmacewen in a close final.
