Prominent Maori leader Sir Archie Taiaroa is seriously ill in Waikato Hospital.
Sir Archie, 73, was admitted to hospital after suffering a stroke, Te Ohu Kaimoana chief executive Peter Douglas told NZPA.
"He was in his home in Taumarunui when he had a stroke," Mr Douglas said.
"He's very ill."
