After three years of Covid disruption, Dunedin’s Anzac Day commemorations return to normal this year, with a full dawn service, posy laying ceremony and services at local community hubs.

Misty rain over the Orokonui Ecosanctuary cloud forest made an atmospheric backdrop for a visit by members of The Rotary Club of Dunedin to hear about a newly-completed project.

The lives of more than 125 North Dunedin men, who died in WW 1, along with countless others in the Boer War and WW 2, are commemorated on the stone memorial arch at North East Valley Normal School.
