Holding up a recently printed 6m x 3m flag are Otago Grand Format Print print operator Ammon Hunter and chief executive Fiona Hunter.
Mrs Hunter said the flag was made using a new extra-wide textile printer, which was one of the biggest in the South Island.
Although she was not sure, she expected it was the largest printed New Zealand flag in the country. The flag was officially hoisted for the first time yesterday after a few "practice runs", she said.
The business only worked on large scale, as there was plenty of other smaller printing companies to serve other needs.
"I don’t do small," she said.
A regular flag was only 1.8m x 0.9m.
