New Zealand Trade & Enterprise board is in Dunedin in for two days and yesterday completed customer site visits, workshops and attended an evening networking event.

The six-person board of chairman Andrew Ferrier, Carmel Fisher, Charles Finny, Charlotte Walshe, Jennifer Kerr and Wayne Norrie visited three local companies.

That included Education Perfect (NZ), which this week was ranked 104th on the annual top 200 companies of the Technology Investment Network and Farra Engineering, where the group was briefed on the early stages of construction of a new building maintenance unit, bound for a high-rise building in Sydney early next year.

The board also visited film-maker NHNZ for an update. The networking function was later held there. The board, which is having a meeting in Dunedin today, twice a year visits regional areas, taking time to meet customers and assess local trading conditions, a spokesperson said.
