Farra chief executive John Whitaker said fabrication of the tanks posed no technical challenges, with each vessel taking two to three months to complete.
The tank contract and ancillary site work was worth more than $500,000 and Mr Whitaker was pleased Dunedin companies were part of the redevelopment.
Speight's is installing a new automated brew plant from Germany early next year. Three of the tanks will be used for storing finished beer and the other two for conditioning. The two completed tanks are in storage at present and scheduled to be installed next month.
In mid-August, Speight's owner Lion said part of the Dunedin brewery would be demolished to make room for the expansion, which includes a new brew house, tank farm and upgraded boilers, new sales and office space, and the relocation from Canterbury of a keg plant.
Speight's relocated its Maltexo plant from Christchurch to Dunedin in May.
