Work is under way on a new industrial building for a transport warehousing and distribution activity on the former Carisbrook stadium site in Dunedin.
Calder Stewart Development Ltd was granted resource consent by the Dunedin City Council in February.

The decision said the largest vehicles generally used by Bascik Transport would be heavy goods vehicles (semi-trailer), while long B-Train type heavy vehicles might also be used in the future.

The building would be single-storey and have a maximum height of 9.9m and gross floor area of about 1700sq m which comprised a warehouse area and ancillary office space. There would also be a 1500sq m attached canopy on the northern side of the building.

The development will be serviced by two vehicle crossings on Burns St and one crossing on Murrayfield St. A landscaping planting plan was also submitted.
