Since its establishment in 2004, Armstrong Prestige Dunedin Service has gone from a small workshop with three staff members operating out of a workshop in Caversham, to a stylish purpose-built building on Princes St, with 17 employees.
Service manager, Stuart Williams started with the company eight months before their move to Princes St and has been a part of it's steady growth.
``In 2004 we had a purpose-built premises made for Mercedes Benz, Jeep and Chrysler and in 2010 we took on the Land Rover& Volvo franchise and the servicing of Jaguar, as the three brands were distributed by the same company. Last year we acquired Jaguar sales too and built a Land Rover/Jaguar showroom onto an adjoining building.
Armstrong Prestige constantly strives to offer the best possible service to their customers and a part of this initiative has included an extensive refurbishment and extension of their worskshops. The newly improved worskshop has had four more bays added, enabling them to offer a more efficient service.
They've also added to the floors, fresh paint, a new exhaust extraction system, hoists, office area and storage solutions. There's also a new worskhop designated to larger vehicles, such as campervans.
Stuart said the new workshop is a great improvement.
``The refurbishment has made the area so clean and tidy and a more efficient and enjoyable environment to work in,``he said.
Although they specialise in the servicing of European brands they also have the equipment to service Aston Martin, Maserati, BMW, Ferrari and Porsche, they can also service non-European brands and electric vehicles.
These extensive services are available as they have 13 diagnostic computers, including three generic. All their technicians are also highly skilled, with many specialising in specific brands.
``We're always keeping our technicians up-to-date with the latest technological advances and recently sent four away on training for electric vehicles, as there's a big push towards them,`` Stuart said.
All vehicles that come into Armstrong Prestige for servicing are washed and vacuumed before they're returned to customers and any vehicle purchase comes with a free carwash for life.
There's also a stylish and comfortable waiting area where people can enjoy a complimentary espresso and sweet treat while they wait.
