Four guilty of nightclub patron's killing

Four men have been acquitted of murder but found guilty of manslaughter over the bashing of a nightclub patron in Adelaide.

A Supreme Court jury delivered the verdicts yesterday after days of deliberations in the trial of David Zefi, 23, Rrok Jakaj, 20, Dario Stakaj, 21, and a 19-year-old man who was a juvenile at the time.

They were accused of murdering 21-year-old Christopher Hatzis, who died from blood loss after being attacked outside the Savvy nightclub, Light Square, in August 2012.

The crown contended the four accused played their own parts in the attack, which involved Mr Hatzis being surrounded, punched and kicked before being held and repeatedly stabbed.

The men were allowed continuing bail before their sentence hearing on October 2.
